Description

This course is designed as a more in-depth exploration of literature following Spanish 400. Students expand on their study of literature in the Spanish language through a selection of readings that have had a far-reaching significant influence in the Spanish-speaking culture and beyond, as is the case with novels such as Don Quijote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes, essays such as Nuestra América by José Martí, or short stories like El Sur by Jorge Luis Borges, Exeter's first Lamont Poet. This course's readings prepare students for the Advanced Placement exam in Spanish Literature and Culture.
