This course explores contemporary issues concerning Chinese people. Materials may include published essays, TV programs, films, newspapers and magazine articles. In this course students will discuss and write a paper for each topic. Topics include social, economic, political and environmental issues affecting Chinese communities inside China and in the Chinese diaspora.
